COVID-19 statistics

As of January 28th, there were twenty nine (29) persons who tested positive for COVID-19; however one hundred one (101) persons have recovered; bringing the total active cases to seven hundred thirty five (735) of which four hundred ninety eight (498) are locals, two hundred nineteen (219) are tourists and eighteen (18) persons are awaiting classification. The total number of confirmed cases has increased to nine thousand two hundred fifty eight (9258).

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring seven hundred twenty five (725) people in home isolation. Ten (10) patients are hospitalized at the St. Maarten Medical Center. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 has increased to seventy nine (79).

The number of people recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten has increased to eight thousand four hundred forty four (8444). Zero (0) persons are in quarantine based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS.

As the numbers continue to fluctuate, CPS will continue to actively execute its contact tracing measures.
