Information for students who want to study in the Netherlands
Are you going to study in the Netherlands next year? If so, there are many practical matters to take care of in the coming months. To assist you, DUO is organising an information session on: Monday April 11, 2022 during 7.00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Government Administration Building (first floor-Room 1).
Content of information meeting
In this meeting, you will hear everything you need to arrange for your student finance in the Netherlands, including:
- How you apply for student finance
- What you need to do so that DUO can pay the money to you
- What you need to arrange to be able to travel with the student travel product
- How you can arrange things online in Mijn DUO
- And how it works with the repayment of your study loan
You will also receive practical tips about other things you need to arrange in the Netherlands, such as a citizen service number, a DigiD, a bank account, and health insurance. Afterwards, you will be sent a handy checklist.

Are you unable to attend the meetings? Then sign up for the free webinar ?Studiefinanciering aanvragen vanuit het Caribisch gebied: de praktische zaken' (Applying for student finance from the Caribbean: the practicalities). Visit a temporary service office
Do you still have questions or do you need help filling in forms? Then drop by one of DUO's temporary service offices in the Caribbean. You can also hand in your application for student finance there. The staff will then be able to check your application immediately and have it processed. You do not need to schedule an appointment in advance. However, you do need to bring valid proof of identity.
