Theme: “Stronger Men, Stronger Families, Stronger Community”
The Minister of Public Health, Social Development & Labor,
Hon. Richinel Brug, is proud to announce the second edition of the “Just for Dads & Men
Masterclass,” organized by the Department of Community Development, Family &
Humanitarian Affairs (CDFHA).
Under the powerful theme “Stronger Men, Stronger Families, Stronger Community,” this year’s
Masterclass serves as a vital call to action for fathers and men across Sint Maarten to become
more engaged, self-aware, and effective leaders—within their families, communities, and the
nation.
Minister Brug emphasized the importance of supporting men’s personal growth and emotional
well-being, noting that “when we invest in our fathers and men, we strengthen the very
foundation of our society. A stronger man creates stronger families, and stronger families build a
more resilient and compassionate community.”
The Just for Dads & Men Masterclass is designed exclusively for fathers and men, offering a
dynamic and purpose-driven program that includes thought-provoking presentations, interactive
workshops, outdoor activities, and group discussions. Participants will engage with local and
regional experts who bring diverse and inspiring perspectives on the realities of manhood,
fatherhood, and masculinity in today’s world.
Sessions will take place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in Conference Rooms 1 and 2 of the
Government Building, on the following dates:
• Saturday, November 1, 2025 – “Navigating Masculinity & Manhood in the 21st
Century” led by Reverend Courtney Richards
• Saturday, November 8, 2025 – “Healing Father Wounds” with Reverend Courtney
Richards
• Saturday, November 22, 2025 – “Effective Co-Parenting Strategies” with Reverend Dr.
Nolan Nanton
• Saturday, November 29, 2025 – “Cultivating Healthy Relationships” with Mr. Alston
Lourens
o “Rights & Responsibilities of Fathers” with Mr. Marciano Geeerd
• Saturday, December 6, 2025 – Outdoor Sports Activity with Monster Factory, focusing
on physical and mental resilience and team building
CDFHA is confident that participants will leave the Masterclass equipped with new insights,
practical tools, and a supportive network to empower them in their roles as fathers, partners, and
community leaders. A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all attendees who complete
at least 80% of the sessions.
