Minister Plenipotentiary Arrindell releases 3rd Quarterly Edition of Cabinet Newsletter

The 3rd Quarterly October 2025 edition of the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten 12-page newsletter will be published this week containing some of the activities that the cabinet has been involved with.

From The Hague to Philipsburg and beyond, this quarter has been one of connection, creativity, and collaboration, the introduction text says, adding that this edition, highlights the launch of the Diaspora Database, the arrival of new students in the Netherlands and meaningful diplomatic engagements that reflect Sint Maarten’s growing visibility.

The quarterly publication also looks back on cultural moments that brought the cabinet together with various stakeholders, from the book presentation of Ralph Cantave to the Rotterdam Summer Carnival.

The content of the publication is primarily for the Sint Maarten diaspora in the Netherlands. The publication also serves as an information source for Dutch and European institutions.

The 3rd edition of the newsletter also covered the Meet & Greet with Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Melissa Gumbs, and the Minister Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Infrastructure and Environment Patrice Gumbs; Cari-Aire launch; National Commemoration Dutch Slavery Past; Dutch Veterans Day; visit of the former Minister Plenipotentiary Josianne Fleming-Artsen; Amsterdam Sail; visit by the University of St. Martin.

Other article highlights were representation at high level meetings, courtesy visit Governor Ajamu Baly; OCTA (Overseas, Countries, Territories Association) Ministerial Conference; Prinsjesday; Kingdom Council of Ministers; and Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO).
