Prime Minister Jacobs congratulates SEDP
First steps to small business development launched
PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – Prime Minister and Minister of General Affairs Ms. Silveria Jacobs congratulates the recipients, the acting Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunication (TEATT), Omar Ottley, A&A Accounting, Business Support & Training Center on launching the training and business support program, SEDP, geared towards the development of micro, small and medium enterprises on the Island.
“Training for Small business owners is another way to ensure their success which connects to the opportunity to qualify for the ESP program under the trust fund whereby funding is available to expand your current small business or execute a new venture. The Government is proud to support these training programs to not only improve success rates for local entrepreneurs, but also leads to an uptick in the economy and a win-win for all concerned. Each one grow one! Congratulations to the 51 selected applicants who will be trained via this SEDP, continue to work diligently, and utilize every opportunity to realize your dream for self-reliance! Your dreams are valid!” Prime Minister Jacobs said.
