St. Maarten Fire Fighters Foundation organized a “Walk for Health” walkathon

Earlier this year the St. Maarten Fire Fighters Foundation (SXMFFF) organized a “Walk for Health” walkathon, whereby we partnered with The Positive & Elektralyets Foundations and the Lions Club encouraging the public to practice healthy habits.

From the inception, we agreed that the proceeds would go towards the Positive & Elektralyets Foundation to help promote their annual Cancer awareness campaign.

The SXMFFF, in recognition of the Foundations efforts, are extremely happy to present the Positive & Elektralyets Foundation with a cheque of $1,800.00 and the SXMFFF are happy to have aided them in their efforts to keep our loved ones safe and educated.

“The Foundations are extremely grateful for the generous contribution from the SXMFFF and their supporters. While there is sure way to prevent breast cancer, but it is the foundations hope that through education, our women can take measures early to catch it, when it is easiest to treat. Your contribution, both financial and with the Walk for Health is an effective way to reduce the risk for breast cancer and encourage breast cancer awareness in our community,” said Shelly Alphonso of the Positive Foundation.
