CPS to host Vaccination Pop-up on Saturday, August 28th, at the CPS Vineyard Office Park
On Saturday, August 28th, there will be a vaccination Pop-up at Collective Prevention Services (CPS), located at the Vineyard Building, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. CPS would like to encourage all residents of Sint Maarten, 12 years and older, who have not been vaccinated, to come out to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. All persons interested in receiving the vaccines are asked to bring along any form of photo ID for registration.
Considering the increase in the number of positive cases on the island, CPS has implemented several safety protocols for the vaccination pop-ups moving forward. Please note that there is no need to be concerned about attending the pop-ups, as there will be crowd control in place.
Vaccination Pop-ups are scheduled to take place every other Saturday until Saturday October 30th. The Minister encourages all unvaccinated persons to please take advantage of the upcoming opportunities to be vaccinated.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children 12 years and older, to receive the Pfizer vaccine. While being young and healthy significantly reduces your chance of developing severe complications from the disease, it is not guaranteed that this will
be the case for everyone. It is important that you protect your offspring(s), 12 years and older against COVID-19, especially since schools have returned to in-class learning.
It is safe to say that the Pfizer's two-dose COVID-19 vaccine being used on Sint Maarten, has received full approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The great news comes amid lingering vaccine hesitancy among the community.
The CPS COVID-19 drive through testing facility, at the harbor in point blanche, will be relocating to the Community Help Desk in Hope Estate, from Saturday August 28th.
Persons should no longer go to the harbor on week days or to the CPS office on Saturday mornings. Instead, persons are advised to go to Hope Estate's Community Help Desk. The hours of operation are Monday - Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12 Noon.
