10 COVID-19 recoveries today

As of June 30th, there were four (4) persons who tested positive for COVID-19; however ten (10) persons have recovered; bringing the total active cases to thirty eight (38). The total number of confirmed cases is now two thousand six hundred eighteen (2618).

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring thirty four (34) people in home isolation. Four (4) patients remain hospitalized at the St. Maarten Medical Center. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at thirty three (33).

The number of people recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten has increased to two thousand five hundred forty seven (2547). Fifty six (56) people are in quarantine based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS.

The Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labour (VSA) Airport Health Team in collaboration with Health Care Laboratory Sint Maarten (HCLS) have tested 3, 236 travelers arriving at the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA), while CPS tested 33, 371 people throughout the community. As the numbers continue to fluctuate, CPS will continue to actively execute its contact tracing measures.

Both vaccination locations at Caribbean Cinemas and CPS will be closed for the public holiday on Thursday, July 1st. Persons who wish to get vaccinated on Friday July 2nd, are encouraged to go to Caribbean Cinemas as this is the last week of COVID-19 vaccinations at that location.
