The number of people recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten is 505. Forty-six (46) people are in quarantine (46) based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS of persons who may have been in contact with any of the active cases. CPS has tested 991 travelers arriving at the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) and 1890 people throughout the community. As the numbers continue to fluctuate, CPS will continue to execute its contact tracing measures actively. Minister Panneflek wishes all persons affected by COVID-19 much strength. He encourages persons returning home daily to leave shoes at the door, remove clothing, and shower immediately before interacting with family members. We are in this fight together, and we must adhere to the implemented guidelines to safeguard ourselves, our family, and our community in efforts to flatten the curve.
