Bank shows appreciation to employees with a host of activities and events.

Bridgetown Barbados, 22 May 2023. For an entire week, the branches and offices of CIBC FirstCaribbean were abuzz with activity as the bank celebrated and toasted its employees as part of Employee Appreciation Week.

Bedecked in every shade of blue, the chosen color for the week of staff appreciation and celebration, which ran from May 8 to 12, executives, managers, and team leaders all joined in daily activities aimed at thanking and showing appreciation to their colleagues.

Chief Executive Officer Mark St. Hill donned a chef’s hat and apron and was joined by other members of the executive team, Neil Brennan, Patrick McKenna, and Esan Peters in serving staff members at Regional Head Office a hearty breakfast on Friday 12 May, the final day of celebrations.

“By coming together and demonstrating our Culture of Care for each other, while maintaining a Culture of Care for our clients, we are showing the region – and the world – what CIBC FirstCaribbean is all about,” the CEO said.

“My appreciation for the excellent work you are doing is felt every day of the year. We are building a better, stronger, and more efficient bank, and all because of you. Thank you for everything that you do for us,” he added.

Throughout the week, picnics, a paint and sip session, breakfast events, lunches, outings, a funky fashion show, dancing, and even wine tasting were just some of the numerous events teams engaged in across the region. Staffers in St. Maarten enjoyed in-branch massages and received breakfast gift baskets as a token of appreciation.

Employee Appreciation Week was spearheaded by the bank’s Client & Engagement Team at the Regional Head Office in Barbados but also included activities planned by Country Management Teams, and by individual segments and teams across the region.
